World Guesser is a thrilling geography game that drops you into random street views worldwide. Explore clues, guess the location, and beat your high score.
How to play World Guesser?
Starting the game
Similar to playing Uno Online, press "Play" to start the game. The system will take you to a random location on the map, and your task is to guess where that location is. Each round is a new journey; you will explore a completely unexpected location, from bustling streets to pristine landscapes. You will observe and pay attention to every detail to identify the location, then place a pin on the map and confirm your guess. The system will then identify the location and inform you of the correct result.
Observe and gather clues
After starting, you will enter Street View mode, where every small detail can be a clue. Move around, rotate the camera, and look for signs that help you identify the country, city, or even the specific street.
Important clues to look for:
- Road signs and billboards: These are extremely useful sources of information as they often contain the language, place names, or unique symbols of each country.
- Architecture and building styles: Each region has its own unique characteristics: from ancient European buildings, colorful Asian townhouses to modern North American architecture.
- Natural landscapes (mountains, rivers, seas): The terrain and surrounding environment can immediately reveal the area you are in, such as the Mediterranean coast, the Sahara desert, or the Amazon rainforest.
- Vehicles, license plates, and lanes: Observe the type of vehicles, license plates, and traffic rules (driving on the left or right) to narrow down your guess.
- Local language and characters: Any writing you see is a valuable clue: from Latin, Cyrillic, Kanji, to Arabic or other local scripts.
Making a Prediction
When you feel you have enough clues, select the location you suspect is correct on the map. Then confirm and submit your answer to receive the results.
Receiving Results
After submitting your prediction, the system will:
- Display the actual location
- Compare the distance of your prediction to the actual location
- Calculate your score and summarize the round
The higher your score, the closer your guess was to the actual location, and this is also the best way to improve your geographical skills over time.
